Terms of Use
Last updated 20 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use PDFSleek at pdfsleek.com, including the PDF editor and every PDF tool on the site. By using PDFSleek you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy are part of these terms.
2. The service
PDFSleek is an online PDF editor. The editor runs inside your web browser: it opens, edits and saves your document on your own device.
Some tools are marked "Coming soon". They aren't available yet, and their description may change before they launch.
3. Your files
You keep all rights to the documents you open in PDFSleek. Because editing happens in your browser, your documents aren't uploaded to our servers and we can't see them.
You're responsible for having the right to open, change and share the documents you work on, and for keeping your own copies of important files.
4. Free use
PDFSleek is free to start, with no account needed. Free use has limits, such as a maximum file size of 50 MB, and we may change those limits or the free tools at any time.
Free tools and features marked as new or in beta are provided as they are, without any promise that they will stay available.
5. Accounts and paid plans
Accounts and the Pro plan aren't available yet. Before they launch we'll update these terms with how accounts work, and we'll show the price, billing period, renewal and refund terms clearly before you pay for anything.
Where the law gives you a right to cancel or to a refund (for example the 14-day right of withdrawal in the European Union), that right will always apply.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. You also agree not to:
- resell, rent or offer PDFSleek as part of another service without our written permission;
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to use the service, or try to get around its limits;
- copy, reverse engineer or attack the website, the API or the servers behind them.
7. Electronic signatures
The Sign tools place an image of your signature on a page. This is not a certificate-based digital signature, and we can't guarantee that a signature made with PDFSleek is legally binding for your purpose. If it matters, check what the other party or the law requires.
8. Ownership and feedback
PDFSleek, its software, design, name and logo belong to us. These terms don't give you any rights in them beyond using the service.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and without owing you anything.
9. Suspension and ending
You can stop using PDFSleek at any time. We may suspend or block access for anyone who breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users. We may also change or discontinue any part of the service.
10. No warranty
PDFSleek is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise that it will be error-free, always available or suitable for a particular purpose. Check your edited documents before you rely on them.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or damage to reputation, arising from your use of PDFSleek.
For free use, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to US$20. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or gross negligence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll change the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, tell them in advance. If you keep using PDFSleek after a change, you accept the new terms.
